Northern Division Haymarket’s Michael Tollison (Batesburg, S.C.) claimed Northern Division Player of the Week for the second time this season. The Florence-Darlington Tech player hit .455 with 10 hits, including two doubles and two home runs. He also walked twice, scored four runs, and drove in five. For the week, he ranked second in the league in average, second in slugging percentage (.818), third in on-base percentage (.500), first in hits, first in RBIs, first in home runs, and first in total bases (18). Senators teammates Reed Brown (Edmonds, Wash.) and Josh Judy (Morgantown, W.Va.) each pitched nine innings of shutout baseball in picking up victories. Brown, who recently helped Oregon State to the College World Series championship, struck out eight and allowed just four hits in a 10-0 shutout of Winchester. Judy, an Indiana Tech product, allowed three unearned runs on just three hits and struck out seven in a 4-3 win over Luray. He was first in the league in opposing batting average at 0.97. Brown was right behind at .133. Southern Division Staunton’s Casey Kebodeaux (Mandeville, La.) takes Southern Division Pitcher of the Week. The Alabama right-hander struck out 11, second best in the league, in seven innings. He allowed just four hits in a 7-3 win over Harrisonburg. Braves’ infielder Matt Hacker (Glen Allen, Va.) picked up Southern Division Player of the Week accolades. The Virginia Tech player was third in the league with a .429 batting average. He was also second with nine hits and fifth with a .478 on-base percentage. Hacker added a double, five RBIs, four runs, two walks, two stolen bases, and a .476 slugging percentage.
