Brad Mills Taken by Toronto University of Arizona 6/7/2006 TUCSON, Ariz. – Junior Brad Mills was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays with their 22nd round pick in the Major League Baseball First Year Player Draft on Tuesday. Mills had previously gone undrafted out Mountain View High School in Phoenix. The only player to make the Arizona roster from walk-on tryouts in the fall of 2003, Mills is a three-year member of the Arizona baseball team and a two-year letterwinner. After working just 23 1/3 innings in his first two seasons in Tucson, Mills became a key part of the Arizona pitching rotation in 2006. Appearing in 17 games and making 16 starts, he led the Wildcats with six victories, while posting a 4.70 ERA. He finished with 82 strikeouts in a career-high 82 1/3 innings on the mound. He was a member of two NCAA postseason teams at UA, including the 2004 club that advanced to the College World Series in Omaha, Neb.
