SEWANEE – Greg Bartleski, a sophomore hurler on the baseball team from Charlottesville, Virginia pitched a full game on Saturday to pick up a conference win over in-state and SCAC rival Rhodes. He only allowed three hits and three runs and he struck out seven batters. The win marked Greg’s third straight complete game. After starting the season 0-2, the six foot seven inch right hander has won his last three games. On the year, Bartleski has 48 strikeouts and has only walked 22 batters. His strikeout total is good for seventh place currently in the SCAC. "Greg has been our best pitcher this season due to a great work ethic, much improved consistency, belief in himself, and a highly competitive nature," said head coach Scott Baker. The Tiger of the Week is an athlete, chosen by a group of Athletic Department Employees, who exemplifies what Sewanee Athletics is about.
