Logan Onda Week Five Turks POTW

Onda Turks POTW

The Turks have had a different winner each week this season for the Player of the Week. This week is no different. Logan Onda, the junior from University of Texas San Antonio, had a week to remember. In a week with two different double headers, the Turks played seven games in six days.

In that span the Turks are 6-1 and Onda is 2-0. The right hander had a 1.93 ERA in his 9.1 innings of work striking out nine and only walking one batter. In a week where the Turks offense was struggling it was up to the pitching staff to carry the team. Onda was able to help the team both as a starter and in the bullpen. Batters are batting a low .206 against Logan in those games with an OBP of .216.

Logan Onda is having a strong season and his contributions this week carried a streaking Turks team into the All-Star break with the top record in the VBL. The Turks are 22-7 and if pitchers like Onda keep stepping up in big situations the Turks could be in for a season for the ages.
