For the second week in a row centerfielder Shane Billings (Wingate) garners Turks Player of the Week honors. In a week where the Turks had a record of 6-2 (eight games because of a doubleheader on Thursday) Shane continued his hot hitting. Shane hit .444 in 27 at-bats this week with two triples, an RBI, seven walks, three steals and nine runs scored. Shane has been a constant at the top of the batting order leading the team in steals with 16 and runs scored with 33. He has been the most consistent hitter all season for the Turks as he is second in the Valley League in batting average at .411. Shane will represent the Turks as a part of the South Division all-star team on Sunday July 12.

Joe Lytle (Oklahoma City) – He hit .450 in 20 at-bats with a double, a stolen base and five runs scored.
