The Turks traveled north to face the Strasburg Express tonight and unfortunately returned home with a 7-3 loss.

The Turks punched out 9 hits, 3 runs, 6 walks but left 14 men stranded on base. While the Express gathered 7 hits, scored 7 runs, 4 walks and only left 5 men on base.

Troy Trojan, RHP Corey Childress took the mound for the Turks. Childress had 6.0 innings of work, striking out 6 batters, surrendering 3 hits, 2 walks, 2 runs and 0 earned runs.

Luke Glavin, a RHP from Duke came in the 7th striking out one, giving up 1 walk, 3 hits, and 4 earned runs.

Connor Clark, a lefty from Wingate came in the 8th and and had 1 strike out, 1 walk, gave up 1 hit and 1 earned run.

The Turks offense was spurred by second baseman Bryan Arias (UTSA) going 4 for 5 with 1 RBI and right-fielder Trevor Denton (Pitt CC) going 2 for 4 with 1 walk.

The 1-1 Turks will travel south to John Moxie Stadium in Staunton tomorrow night to play the 0-2 Braves. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
