2019 Turks Schedule Released

The Valley Baseball League voted on and approved their 2019 schedule at their meeting last week. The eleven team league will open their regular season on Friday, May 31st and end on Thursday, July 25th. The playoffs will begin immediately their after. The odd number of teams mean that one team will be off each night and the league will have seven days off that teams will use for make up rain dates.

The VBL All-Star Game will be played at JMU Veterans Memorial Park on Sunday, July 7th. The North All-Stars will meet the South All-Stars. Pre-game activities will begin with Batting Practice at 3:30, 60 Yard Dash and Home Run Derby will begin at 5:20, Player Introductions begins at 7:20 and game time is 7:30 pm. Admission to the game is $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for Kids ages 3-12 and Free for Kids ages 3-12 in uniform.

The Turks will open their season by hosting the Charlottesville TomSox at JMU Veterans Memorial Park at 7:30 pm on May 31st. The schedule has been posted on our website. The Turks are selling their 11-game pass $55.00 value for $45.00 now at Wease Auto Exchange, 1489 S. Main Street, Harrisonburg. Passes will also be available to purchase at the gate during the season.
