Pair of Lefty Hurlers from EKU Joins Turks Pitching Staff

Turks alumni that went on to college coaching are a source of helping Coach Wease put together his roster. Eastern Kentucky head coach Edwin Thompson is one of those connections. Coach Thompson has sent us two Eastern Kentucky Colonels; Will Brian and Jacob Ferris. Will Brian, a 5’10” 190 pound junior LHP is from Vine Grove, KY. As a freshman he only appeared in nine games before a season ending injury but in 14.2 IP of work he had two wins, 11 SO, and only 8 walks!  We wish Will a successful spring and look forward to having him in Harrisonburg this summer!

Brian’s Colonel teammate Jacob Ferris will travel to Harrisonburg this summer also. He is a 6’3” 185 pound sophomore LHP is from Richmond, KY. Jacob went to Madison Central High School and posted a 0.00 ERA during his JR and SR seasons, while also having a record of 6-0 over the two years. He was named second team all-state as a senior. Jacob plans to study Sports Medicine. We welcome Jacob to our pitching staff!
