Rafe Schindler makes his return to Harrisonburg after pitching for the Turks in the summer of 2019, appearing in six games with two starts and posting a 5.51 ERA in 16.1 innings of work. He also pitched for the Turks in 2018, and was named to the Valley Baseball League All-Star Team. Schindler pitched collegiately for New Orleans as a freshman before dealing with injuries and taking the 2019 season off. The big 6’4, 210 pound righthander transferred to Nunez Community College in his hometown of Chalmette, Louisiana, and had remarkable success in 2020, going 2-1 with a 2.23 ERA in 32.1 IP. The Turks are excited to welcome Schindler back for his third season!
