Meet Jordan Sweeney from Rutgers

Jordan Sweeney put up remarkable numbers in the shortened 2020 season for Rutgers University, hitting .438 with a homer, five RBI, and a .688 slugging percentage in 12 games. Prior to Rutgers, Sweeney played four seasons of varsity baseball at Egg Harbor Township High School in New Jersey, hitting .380 with 71 hits and 71 RBIs in his first three seasons and earned First Team All-State and First Team All-South Jersey honors in 2017. He was also a standout basketball player in high school, scoring over 1,000 points in his career. The 6’5, 215 pound righthander was rated as the 16th overall prospect in New Jersey and top first baseman, according to Perfect Game. Though Sweeney is primarily a first baseman, he can also play in the outfield. His favorite team is the Philadelphia Phillies and his favorite athlete is Mike Trout.
