A native of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Cameron Barto played in four games as a freshman for the University of Pittsburgh last year, making one start and recording a double and RBI with two walks in seven plate appearances. A switch hitter, Barto played at Lancaster Catholic High School where he was named a First Team All-Section 4 as a junior and senior. He finished his junior season with a .319 batting average, .422 on-base percentage, 22 hits, and 13 RBI. As a senior, Barto hit .386 with 22 base knocks and 13 runs driven in.
