Boiler Maker Catcher Heads to Harrisonburg

Jake Stadler, is a 6-1 200 pound catcher that’s playing for Purdue. The lefty is a communications major. The redshirt freshman did not see action as a true freshman and opted to redshirt. Stadler is from Greenfield, IN. where he  played at Mount Vernon High School,

Stadler did play the 2020 summer for the Local Legends of the College Summer League at Grand Park. Stadler played in 29 games, had 85 at-bats, scored 18 runs, with 25 hits, 12 singles, two doubles, two triples, three home runs, 14 RBIs, and 14 walks. He posted a .301 batting average and a .442 on-base % for the summer. Stadler was named an All-League Catcher for the season.

This spring playing behind a senior Boiler Maker, Stadler has gotten 36 at-bats, scored 5 runs, 6 hits, 1 double, 2 RBI with 4 walks, and is 1-1 stole bases.
