There are a number of opportunities the Turks offer for the community to get involved.
FIELD OF DREAMS TEAM –
Put a Big League smile on your Little Leaguers’ face. Bring your little league team out to JMU Veterans Memorial Park so they can experience hearing their name announced and running out on the field with a Turks player to stand for our country’s National Anthem. Contact Teresa Wease at turksbaseball@hotmail.com or call her at Wease Auto 540-434-5919 to schedule your special night at the ball park. Teams can come early to meet the players, get Turks autographs and then watch them take infield. Parents have the opportunity to takes pictures of their little league player running onto the field. It’s a night to remember and be enjoyed by all.
NATIONAL ANTHEM PERFORMERS –
Share your musical talents with our Harrisonburg Turks fans by performing a vocal or instrumental solo or group rendition of our country’s National Anthem. Contact Teresa Wease at turksbaseball@hotmail.com or call her at Wease Auto 540-434-5919.
POST GAME MEALS –
The Turks organization feeds the team and staff after every game. We need your help. We encourage families, churches, youth groups, service clubs or any community groups to consider providing a meal. If an individual or group is interested in preparing a simple meal for the team to eat at our concession stand after home games, please contact Teresa Wease for more details by e-mailing turksbaseball@hotmail.com or call her at Wease Auto 540-434-5919.
We feed approximately 40 people which includes the team, coaches, trainer, bat boy, and press box. If you’re unable to prepare the meal, then we graciously accept donations to help with the expense. We also feed the team after every away game which means we are paying for 21 home and 21 away games plus any playoff games. These players are away from home all summer and really appreciate some good home cooking!
THE FAN ZONE MERCHANDISE STAND –
We encourage our fans to support the team by purchasing your Turks fan gear at our FAN ZONE located to the right as you enter the stadium. We carry Turks caps, t-shirts, and sweatshirts.
SHOW YOUR TEAM SPIRIT and wear your favorite Turks gear to the games!

The Harrisonburg Turks and the entire Valley Baseball League are non-profit organizations. We all have 501 (C)3 status. Therefore, you can donate to the Turks and use it as a tax deduction.
