Turks Tidbits Written By Matt Kerr, Broadcasting Intern Spotswood High School Graduate Harrisonburg,VA – The last time that the Waynesboro Generals played Harrisonburg at Memorial Stadium, a low scoring affair gave the Generals a win. In a similar played game Sunday, it was the Turks who left victorious. Brannon Johnson, a hard thrower from the University of New Orleans, gave up only one run and recorded 10 strikeouts in the Turks 3-1 win over the Generals. The seven inning performance gave Johnson his first win of the year and brought his strikeout total up to 16. Josh Dew also came up big for Harrisonburg, showing that he has talent on both ends of the ball. In the second, Dew hit a solo shot in between the center and right fields, giving Harrisonburg the first lead of the night. In the ninth, Dew came in to pitch, picking up the save. The win brings the Turks to .500 for the first time this season with a record of 7-7.
