Luray, VA – Dallas Baptist right-hander Rod Brantley struck out 10 batters in six shutout innings to lead the Harrisonburg Turks to an 8-1 victory over Luray in a Valley League baseball game Saturday. Troy right-hander Ryan Ellison struck out all six batters he faced to close the game as the Turks struck out a combined 17 Wranglers. Purdue center fielder Jon Moore hit a grand slam and Clarendon shortstop B.J. Wheeler was 2-for-4 with a solo home run to lead the offense. The Turks (5-1) didn’t play Sunday because Haymarket’s bus broke down and the Senators forfeited the game.
