Four Harrisonburg Turks Named to South All-Star Team Turks Tidbits Harrisonburg,VA The 2009 Valley Baseball League announced their North and South All-Star teams. The player and team breakdowns are as follows: North; Haymarket (5), Fauquier (5), Front Royal (3), Winchester (5), Woodstock (4), and Luray (6) and the South; New Market (5), Harrisonburg (4), Staunton (7), Waynesboro (5), Rockbridge (3), and Covington (4). Head Coach, Lance Mauck of the Staunton Braves will manage the Southern All-Stars while Head Coach, Mike Bocock of the Luray Wranglers will manage the Northern squad. The Woodstock River Bandits will host the 2009 Valley Baseball League All-Star Game on Sunday, July 12th at Central High School in Woodstock, VA. Game time will be 7:30 p.m. Other events of the day will be a “Fastest Man in the Valley” skills contest and the Home Run Derby earlier in the day. We encourage everyone to come out and enjoy the festivities of the day and see the best talent in the Valley Baseball League.
