Bobby Brown Named as VBL Central Division Player of the Week

The Valley Baseball League announced their Player of the Week (POW) Awards today. Harrisonburg Turks 1B/OF, Bobby Brown (U. of Arizona) was named the POW for the Central Division. Brown hit .435 for the week and led the Valley with four doubles, seven runs scored and 21 total bases. His 10 hits were tied for second in the league. Brown collected several other accomplishments this week. He was also selected as the Turks POW Week 4 and named to the 2009 Valley Baseball League All-Star Team. He will be one of four Harrisonburg Turks representing the team; Brown, RHP Rayan Gonzalez, RHP Drew Granier, and RHP Chris Sorce will be playing for the South. The Turks congratulation Bobby Brown on a productive week and wish him continued success with the remainder of the season.
