In the final full week of the 2012 regular season, Brian Yeung earns the Turks Player of the Week honors.  After a slow start in the season, Yeung has steadily been clawing his average out of an early season slump.  The Wingate all-star, hit .333 last week, a marked improvement from his season average of .242

Yeung consistently strives for success on the field and has been a positive influence on his team.  In the last week he knocked 4 extra base-hits, including 2 home-run blasts, tying the most for any Turk this season totaling 4.

Yeung has spent time in the two hot corners of the infield, first and third.  At both positions Yeung leads with confidence and fundamental play.  At first base this season Yeung has only shown 3 errors for a fielding percentage of .989. Yeung’s bat has found some power and some noise at just the right time and hopes to carry that momentum into the postseason.
