Harrisonburg, VA Coming off another strong season by winning the 2014 Valley Baseball League pennant with a 29-13 record, the Turks look to continue their string of successful seasons. With the announcement of this coming summer’s schedule, fans can begin planning to join the team in Covington on June 5th for opening night. The Turks return to Harrisonburg on June 7th against the newest league member, the Charlottesville TomSox, for the first home matchup of the season. The Turks 2015 schedule features nine home games in June and twelve in July. As has become tradition, Harrisonburg will be hosting the 2015 Valley Baseball League All Star Game between the North and South on July 12th.
With Valley League action coming to the Charlottesville area, the Valley Baseball League returns to a twelve team league, playing a 42 game schedule. It will remain in two divisions; North and South, with each team playing inter-division opponents six times and play intra-division opponents twice. The Northern Division includes Aldie, Charles Town, Winchester, Front Royal, Strasburg, and Woodstock while the Southern Division includes New Market, Harrisonburg, Staunton, Waynesboro, Charlottesville and Covington.
