Meet the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets
Wade Bailey is the second baseman for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Bailey comes into his freshman year with experience in both the infield and the outfield. A four year letter winner in highs school, Bailey also earned team most valuable player honors in all four seasons. He holds the school record for most stolen bases (104), career batting average of .420, and he also added 15 home runs. In 31 appearances so far this season for the Yellow Jackets, Bailey is batting .303 with 17 RBIs and is 3-4 in stolen bases.
Jared Datoc is a freshman pitcher for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Datoc also has experience playing in the field as opposed to just pitching. Datoc lettered all four years in high school an was named captain his senior year. He won the 2012 AAU Underclass National Championship as a member of the 16U East Cobb Titans.
Tanner Shelton is a sophomore pitcher for the Georgia Tech yellow Jackets. Four year letter winner in high school, Shelton made his debut for the Yellow Jackets last season, appearing 15 times. Over 15.2 innings of pitching his first year, Shelton fanned 14 batters. So far during his sophomore year, Shelton has made 13 appearances and is 1-1 on the season. Shelton will be returning for his second season with the Turks. In 30.1 innings of work he gave up 27 hits, 21 runs, 14 earned runs, 23 walks and struck out 21 batters. He was 1-0 with a 4.15 ERA.
