Quality Backstop Denton Returns to Turks

Trevor Denton - Pitt CC 2016Trevor Denton of Pitt CC will be back behind the plate with the Turks this season. Trevor has played 31 games so far, batting .286 with a solid .988 fielding percentage. The 6 foot, 190 pound Mechanicsville, VA native and 2014 Hanover HS alum, joined the Turks during the 2015 season to add catching depth. As a Turk, Denton hit .262 in 18 games and filled the backup catcher role well, especially defensively.

Pitt CC has had a very good season and won the Region X Conference Baseball Tournament. They are currently in the 2016 NJCAA DI Baseball Eastern District Championship in Bel Air, Md., May 20-22.

Trevor was a Perfect Game All-American as a Pitcher and Infielder in high school.

With just two catchers on the current roster, it is reassuring knowing Trevor’s skills. Best of luck to Trevor in the JuCo Championships. We look forward to seeing you this summer!
