Bethune-Cookman left hand pitcher Donte Lindsay will return to the Turks this season. After arriving in a mid-season move last season from the Charlestown Cannons, the versatile Lindsay was 3-0 with a tidy 1.35 ERA.
Donte, is a 6′ 3″ tall, 185 lb Junior, and was a two-sport star at JFK High School in Cleveland, OH. The Turks have had several pitchers from Cookman, most notably, Ali Simpson and current AA hurler Rayan Gonzalez.
So far this season, Lindsay is 4-3 with a 5.80 ERA in 15 games (9 starts), 45 innings. He and his Wildcat teammates are coming on strong lately as they try to capture yet another MEAC (Mid-eastern Athletic Conference) Tournament and the NCAA D1 bid that comes with it. Coach Jason Beverlin is no stranger to winning baseball.
The Turks are thrilled to welcome Donte back to the flock for another solid season.
