Turks PoTW Week 8

Congratulations to RHP Matt Young (Oklahoma City) being named Turks Player of the Week 8. Young pitched well for the Turks in the final week of the season. In two starts Young threw 11 innings, took a no decision and a tough-luck 2-1 loss for an 0-1 record.   He allowed just 8 hits, one earned run, striking out 13 and walking 5.

Young will be a senior for Oklahoma City where he had an undefeated regular season this year suffering his only loss in the NAIA World Series. Matt was solid in his two summers with the Turks and wish him all the best in his baseball and other pursuits.
