Duo of NC State Wolfpack Sign with Turks

The Turks are excited to add two members of the North Carolina State Wolfpack to Harrisonburg for the 2019 season.

We welcome infielder J.T. Jarrett.  The 5-10, 156 pound junior is from Greensboro, N.C..  Last season Jarrett had 111 at bats with 25 hits, scoring 16 runs for the Wolfpack. As a middle infielder, he had a fielding average of .966 with 90 assists and 78 putouts. During his senior year at Northern Guildford HS, Jarrett batted .398 with seven doubles, 21 RBIs, 35 runs and nine steals in 36 games helping to lead Northern Guilford to the North Carolina 3-A state championship. Jarrett was named MVP of the championship series.  JT is the son of 1992 Turk and Head Coach of the UNC Greensboro baseball team, Link Jarrett. We are looking forward to having J.T. join the Turks for the summer!

Another member of the Wolfpack heading to Harrisonburg for the summer is 6-0, 160 pound, outfielder junior, Terrell Tatum from Collierville, TN. His first year at NC State he appeared in 45 games, starting 22 of those contests as designated hitter. He compiled a .271 batting average with 23 hits, scoring 25 runs and also had 10 RBI. Terrell finished the season 9-of-11 on stolen base attempts. In the outfield Terrell kept a 1.000 fielding percentage. The Turks are anxious to have Terrell patrolling the outfield at JMU Veterans Memorial Park.
