2021 Harrisonburg Turks Schedule

The Turks organization is proud to release our 2021 schedule. It has been posted here on our website for you to view. The Valley Baseball League 2021 season opens on Saturday, June 5th. The Turks have off that day and opens their season on Sunday, June 6th at home against the New Market Rebels. The regular season will end on Friday, July 23 with the playoffs beginning the next day.

The VBL will play a 42 game season. The Turks continue to play their home games at James Madison University Veterans Memorial Park with a start time of 7:30. In an effort to cut travel expenses the league directors voted to include doubleheaders in the schedule this year that will have a team play a team in the opposing division in two seven-inning games in one trip. The Turks will host three home doubleheaders with northern opponents; Sunday, June 6th vs New Market Rebels, Sunday, June 20th vs the Front Royal Cardinals and Sunday, June 27th against the Purcellville Cannons. The Turks will travel to the other three northern opponents for doubleheaders on Sunday, June 13th against the Woodstock River Bandits for a 5:00 game start, on Saturday, July 3rd against the Winchester Royals for a 6:00 game start, and the Strasburg Express on Saturday, July 10th in a 5:30 game start.

The South  will host the North in the 2021 Valley Baseball League  All Star Game at James Madison University Veterans Memorial Park on Sunday, July 11th.  The activities and times will be announced at later date.

The Turks will follow Virginia Governor Ralph Northam’s COVID guidelines for all outdoor events. Social distancing, wearing of a mask and sanitizing of the stadium will take place for the safety of all players, coaches, staff, and fans.

We look forward to having our loyal fans back in Veterans Memorial Park for another exciting season of Turks baseball.
