The TURKS won the third game of their summer campaign by beating the Covington Lumberjacks last night. The Lumberjacks had won the first meeting between the two teams by a score of 6-5. Josh Joiner had a great performance last night by pitching 8 innings of scoreless baseball. In the ninth, closer Hansen Grant finished off the game tallying one strike out and no hits. On the offensive side, Moises Duran led the TURKS with 2 hits. Daniel Brooks and Billy Kovatch each had a run as the TURKS won 2-0.
