Harrisonburg TURKS pitcher mike Mlotkowski struggled in his last few outings. Thursday, he showed his potential. Mlotkowski threw a no-hitter with 14 strikeouts as the TURKS beat host Covington 5-0 in a Valley League Baseball game. "I kind of haven’t been able to piece it together." Mlotkowski said. "Today, I was able to do that." It was the second no-hitter for the TURKS this week. Tuesday, Pat Caldwell and Adam Poole combined for a no-hitter in a 3-1 loss to Waynesboro. This time, the TURKS got a win out of it. Mlotkowski, a right-hander from Oklahoma City, entered with a 3-1 record but carried a 4.91 ERA. Covington (13-15) had three runners reach base via two TURKS errors and a Mlotkowski walk. "I just haven’t been pitching up to my capability since I’ve been here," Mlotkowski said. "I really wanted to get going…I finally felt good coming into the game and I had the pitches working and I was hitting my spots." Catcher Matt Weglarz was 1 for 4 with three RBIs for Harrisonburg (18-10).
