7/5/05 – Turks Tidbits

Tuesday night’s match up against the Turks and the Luray Wranglers was cancelled due to two late afternoon down pours. Second base and short stop was covered under three inches of water and mud making it impossible to get the field ready for play. This will be the fourth rain out for the Turks. A close look at the schedule will have to made to decide when this game with Luray will be made up. This will be annouced tomorrow. The Turks hit the road now for the next three games; Wednesday, July 6th at Waynesboro, Thursday, July 7th at Staunton, and Friday, July 8th at Covington. The Turks will return home at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Saturday, July 9th against the New Market Rebels. Game time is 7:30 p.m. Come out and support your Harrisonburg Turks!
