David Dennis Named SAC Player of the WeekOklahoma City University Athletic News OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City first baseman David Dennis has been named Sooner Athletic Conference baseball player of the week for Feb. 25-March 2. Dennis, a senior from El Cajon, Calif., smacked seven home runs and drove in 20 runs in six games for the Stars. He batted .652 for the week and also had four doubles to add to his 1.435 slugging percentage. For the year, Dennis is hitting .403 with 12 homers and 41 RBIs. Dennis is ranked third in the NAIA in home runs and RBIs and sixth in the NAIA in total bases. OCU takes on Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.) at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Jim Wade Stadium.
