Landon Camp Named Player of the Week

Written By Graham Brock James Madison University Sports Management Intern Future Turk Landon Camp, a junior at Oklahoma City University was named NAIA player of the week for the Sooner Athletic Conference. This was during the week of March 17-23 when he led his team to a 4-0 record. Camp batted .700 during this week with a slugging percentage of 1.800. Camp had two doubles and three homeruns while driving in 11 runs and scoring 8 times himself. Camp and the other future Turks playing at Oklahoma City University, David Mann, Garrett Parker, and B.J. Wheeler, are continuing to tear it up in their conference. The 2008 Turks pitching staff is continuing to look impressive during the college season. The combined record of the Turks pitching staff for their respective colleges is 18-10. This includes impressive ERA’s from Garret Parker of Oklahoma City University, Joshua Storm of Troy, and Eric Thomas of Bethune Cookman. Overall the Turks are continuing to look good for the upcoming summer.
