Written By Andy May, Broadcasting Intern Bridgewater College Harrisonburg- The Haymarket Senators entire lineup had at least one hit as the visitors beat the Harrisonburg Turks 4-1. Haymarket right-hander Ben Hildreth (Averett) earned his first win of the season (1-1) striking out two with Steve Piscatello (Montclair State) getting his first save. Right-hander Jim Kennedy (Rider) (0-1) took the loss for Harrisonburg. David Hissey (Emory) set the table for the Senators going 2-3 with two singles, a stolen base, and a sacrifice bunt in the fifth inning. Zach Caito (St. Leo) singled and scored on wild pitch to break the 1-1 tie in the fifth inning. Caito was 2 for 4 on the night scoring the go-ahead run. The Turks were lead by Wilsisky Baez (Western Oklahoma) who went 2 for 3 with a walk. Drew Johnson (San Francisco) hit an RBI double in the third inning to score Harrisonburg’s only run of the game. Brett Stewart (Appalachian State) had two hits with a single and a double. The Harrisonburg Turks (2-5) travel to Fauquier tomorrow to take on the Gators (2-2) while the Haymarket Senators (3-3) host the Luray Wranglers (3-1).
