06/06/2009 – Turks Tidbits

Calling all TURKS fans … the Valley Baseball League’s opening night was a wash out due to all of the rain we’ve had the last thirty-six hours. However, the sun is scheduled to come out and shine tomorrow, Saturday, June 6th, just in time for the Harrisonburg Turks home opener against the New Market Rebels. The Turks will be playing their home games at James Madison University’s Long Field on their main campus for the ’09 season. Due to Mauck Stadium not having lights, the Turks game time will be at 5:00 p.m. The Valley Baseball League games are all broadcast via the internet. The TURKS are very proud and privileged to have the amazing and entertaining Dave Norman as their web cast announcer for another season. Fans and families all across the country enjoy sitting back and allowing Dave to bring the excitement of the TURKS games right into their living rooms or out on their decks for all our home games. Make sure you tune in to Dave’s Pre-Game Show at 4:50 p.m. on each home game broadcast. As an opening night special, Dave will start his pre-game show at 4:30 p.m. Saturday to introduce you to the 2009 Harrisonburg Turks. Let’s play ball … GO TURKS!
