06/22/2009 – Turks Tidbits

The Valley Baseball League announced their Player of the Week (POW) Awards today. Harrisonburg TURKS DH/1B, Mike Schwartz (U.Tampa), was named as POW for the Central Division. Schwartz hit .462 on the week with six hits in 13 at-bats. He had two doubles and a home run among those six hits and boasted an .846 slugging percentage for the week. Schwartz was also selected by the Harrisonburg TURKS as their Week #2 POW as well. Congratulations to Mike Schwartz for a successful week of baseball.
