07/04/2009 – Turks Tidbits

The Turks ended their four game loosing streak with a win over the Waynesboro Generals, 4-2.

Bobby Brown (U. of Arizona), Thomas Nichols (Georgia Tech), Jack Posey (Florida State), and Nathan Bryan (Oklahoma State) all went two for four to spur the Turks offense. Drew Granier (Mississippi Gulf Coast C.C.) struck out seven Generals in six innings of work to bring his record to 3-0 for the summer. Chris Sorce (Troy) came in the 9th to close the door and get his third save of the season. The Turks have a make up game at Luray on the 4th of July at Bull Dog Field. Game time is 12:30.
