07/06/2009 – Turks Tidbits

The Turks are proud to announce that 1B/OF Bobby Brown (U. of Arizona) has been selected as Week 4 Player of the Week. Brown had a strong week at the plate and raised his team-leading batting average to .369 He went 10 for 22 (.455) and was on base (.538%) for the week. Bobby was also named as one of the four Harrisonburg Turks to make the 2009 Valley Baseball League All-Star Team. Brown, RHP Drew Granier, RHP Rayan Gonzalez, and RHP Chris Sorce will all represent the Turks on the South Team. Congratulations Turks!
