Carpenter Comes Out on Top in Weekend Losses

The University of Texas at San Antonio went 0-3 against Sam Houston State this weekend, but OF Tyler Carpenter swung back-to-back three-hit games Saturday and Sunday. Saturday was Carpenter’s first three-hit game of the season.

His big hit was a two-run triple down the left field line. Carpenter lead his team at the plate hitting 3-for-5 with his 2 RBI hit. Sunday, Carpenter earned his second three-hit game batting 3-for-4.

Overall, Carpenter has started all 22 games this season with a .410 slugging percentage, 10 R, 24 H, 4 doubles, 3 triples, and 8 RBIs. Carpenter also has a .973 fielding percentage with 67 PO and 4 assists.
