Loker Keeps Swinging Away

Second basemen J.J. Loker keeps swinging away for USC Aiken to improve his slugging percentage, while assisting Aiken to a 2-3 win series against Augusta State.

Earlier in the week, Loker had an impressive game against St. Andrews. Loker was perfect at the plate, 4-for-4, with two RBIs and five runs against. Loker continued batting away into Aiken’s double header Saturday as Augusta headed into town. Loker was 0-for-1 but earned one RBI from the walk in game one. Loker then went 2-for-4 in the second game with two single hits. Sunday, USC Aiken lost to Augusta 4-3 in 11 innings.

Overall, Loker has a .364 average with 19 R, 32 H, 1 double, 1 triple, 2 HR and 18 RBIs. Out in the field, Loker has a .952 fielding percentage with 30 PO and 10 assists.
