Perucki Named Week 3 Turks Player of the Week

Veteran Perucki Earns Turks POTW Honors

RJ POTW 3The Turks are on a seven game winning streak due to the well balanced lineup and pitching that Manager Bob Wease has run onto the field. No one has been more balanced of a player this week than our Turks Player of the Week R.J. Perucki. The right-handed shortstop from the University of Texas San Antonio has been heating up since arriving a week into the Turks season.

The 6’1 rising senior went on a tear this week batting .389 with 6 RBIs and posting a slugging percentage of .611. In that span the Turks have been undefeated. Perucki’s stolen base league leading teammates have even rubbed off on him as he has recorded 2 stolen bases in the past five games.

Perucki started this great week off with a 3 run home run off the Aldie Senators. In that game he went 2-3 and batted in 4 runs. Perucki has done a little bit of everything this week for the Turks and being the veteran returning player has become the leader as well. With Perucki and the rest of the team all coming together at the right time this team could go on a winning streak for the ages.
