Come out to Veterans Memorial Park this Saturday, June 29th and meet JMU alum Mike Jenkins as the Turks host the Waynesboro Generals.

Mike Jenkins was a member of the JMU National Championship Football Team with Coach Mickey Matthews and also served as a former Harrisonburg Turk summer intern his senior year.  He is a professional strongman from  Hershey, PA where he resides with his wife Keri.  Along with his own training he provides online programs for athletes in Strongman, Powerlifting and Crossfit!  He is sponsored by two of the best in the game, MHP and Rogue Fitness!

Mike trains out of 13 Stripes Crossfit and works at The Milton Hershey School.   He is a two-time Worlds Strongest Man finalist, 2011 Runner up at the Arnold Classic and 2012 Arnold Classic Champion.  Jenkins has set World Records in the Austrian Oak, 255lb Circus Dumbbell and the 242lb Circus Dumbbell.

Saturday’s game will be very fan friendly. Normal Family Fun night activities will return, Jenkins will be signing autographs starting at 7 pm prior to the game as well as throwing out the ceremonial first pitch, and admission will be FREE when fans bring our sponsored ad from Friday’s edition of the Daily News Record.
