Turks Win, Clinch Division
Waynesboro – Center-fielder Thomas Spitz and second baseman Andy Perez each went 3-for-4 to lead a 12-hit attack as Harrisonburg cruised past Waynesboro 9-2 in a Valley League baseball game Tuesday night at Kate Collins Field.
The Turks, who clinched the Southern Division pennant and homefield advantage in the playoffs, improved to a league-best 30-12; the Generals fell to 21-22.
Designated hitter Patrick Mazeika led Waynesboro, going 2-for-4 with a run scored.
