Meet the Team; Wake Forest

Wake Forest  is sending a trio of their Demon Deacons to Harrisonburg this summer.  Connor Kaden will be returning for his second season with the Turks and bringing along with him freshman Ben Breazeale and sophomore Luke Czajkowski.  Meet the Deacons;

Connor Kaden-        

Connor Kaden, a Toms River, New Jersey native, is a pitcher for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. Kaden is a 6’4 200 lb junior and is currently working towards a degree in communications. The righty spent most of his sophomore season in relief for the Demon Deacons appearing in 21 games. Kaden has shown to be a consistent starter for the Demon Deacons in 2014 thus far appearing in 9 games and starting in 6. He has an ERA of 3.37  and has fanned 33 strikeouts. Kaden, also a member of the 2013 Turks team, led the Turks and VBL in strikeouts with 69.  He was an impressive 5-0 in 8 starts and 9 appearances and bolstered an ERA of 2.55.  He was a member of the 2013 Valley Baseball All Star Team and named to the 1st Team All Valley League Team.

Ben Breazeale-

Ben Breazeale is a 6’0 210 lb freshman catcher from Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.  Breazeale has been trying to break his way into the starting line up coming up to bat 64 times and producing 9 runs, 11 hits, 4 doubles, and 7 RBIs this season for the Deacons. 

Luke Czajkowski-

Luke Czajkowski is a 6’4″ 210 lb sophomore outfielder from Fleming Island, Florida.  His most memorable moment in baseball was hitting the first ever grand slam in the history of Fleming Island High School. Czajkowski earned the Principal Scholar Athlete of the Year at his high school.  He was ranked 225 nationally by Perfect Game and named to a 2011 Perfect Game Underclass High Honorable Mention.  He helped Fleming Island reach the Regional Finals in 2011 for the first time in school history.
