Tripp Shelton: 2016 Week 2 POTW

Tripp Shelton home runWith a .556 average over the past week, the Turks Player of  Week Two is shortstop Tripp Shelton from the Spartans of UNC Greensboro.

Shelton went 10-18 over a five game span. He picked up two doubles, four RBI’s, a home run and four walks contributing to four Turks wins. His best game came against the Charlottesville TomSox, when he went 4-4 with a double and three singles, and he got on base a fifth time when he was hit by a pitch. Shelton, the leadoff hitter, has moved his season average up to .349 over the last seven days.
