Once again Coach Tom Walter has entrusted some of his Demon Deacons to the Turks. Freshmen Carter Bach and Nick DiPanzio will hone their skills this summer at Veterans Memorial Park. At a towering 6-7, 220 pounds, Bach, the freshman pitcher is full of raw talent and will be a nice addition to the pitching staff.  Bach has posted a 3.00 era in 12.0 innings pitched giving up 9 hits, 4 earned runs, 9 walks and 14 strike outs with a 2-0 record this spring for the Deacons.

Nick DiPanzio, a 6-0, 185 pound native of Macon, Georgia offers speed in the outfield and a powerful batting threat.  DiPanzio has seen limited action this spring behind a productive senior lineup. DiPanzio has a .143 BA in 28 at bats, with 4 runs, 4 hits, 2 home runs 6 RBI’s, 2 walks and is 2 for 2 stolen bases. We look forward to having DiPanzio with the Turks this summer.
