Two Lefties Join the Turks Pitching Staff

The Turks want to welcome back 2017 left-hand pitcher Grant Stewart to another season at Veterans Memorial Park. Stewart, a 5’10” 180 pound sophomore transferred to Northwest Florida State College after playing his freshman year at Florida State. He finished at FSU 1-0 with a 4.91 ERA over 11 innings in 10 appearances with 14 strikeouts as a freshman.

Stewarts’ stats last summer with the Turks were 0-2 with an ERA of 5.78 over 18.2 innings in 6 appearances with 19 strikeouts.
Stewart started his spring season for the Raiders with a shutout on February 5th against East Mississippi C.C. He surrendered no runs on four hits in seven innings striking out 13 and no walks. He was named FCSAA Pitcher of the Week.

One of Grant’s NFSC teammate’s will be coming to Harrisonburg with him, Cason Greathouse. Greathouse is a 5’11” 195 pound left-hand pitcher from Columbus, GA. The sophomore plans on majoring in Sports Management. He played at Columbus High School where he earned 2016 Southeast Region All American Honorable Mention and 2015 and 2014 Underclass All American Honorable Mention.
