08/03/2009 – Turks Tidbits

The Harrisonburg Turks congratulate OF Shaun Cooper (U. of Arizona/Tucson, AZ) for being named Week 8 Turks Player of the Week. Even though the Turks came up game short and didn’t make the playoffs, Shaun was a very important part of the Turks fight right down to the end. Shaun went 9 for 19, with a .473 bA with 1 HR, 2 doubles, and 8 RBI’s the last week of the season. For the 2009 season Shaun had a .290 BA with 131 at bats, 17 hits, 38 runs, 8 doubles, 1 triple, 2 home runs, 20 RBI’s, 8 walks, 22 strike outs, and was 7 of 9 stolen bases. We appreciate Shaun’s never die attitude,always giving 100% and being a team player. Congratulations Shaun Cooper on being the Turks Player of the Week #8.
