LaSalle’s Greg Paprocki was in control on the mound for the Turks tonight. The right-hand sophomore gave up five hits with 1 earned run, two walks and fanned seven Cannon batters in 7.0 innings of work. Paprocki 1-0 posts a 2.25 ERA in 12 innings for the season thus far.

 

Eric Yankey (JMU) came in for 1.2 innings and closed things out with one strike out and put the 6-1 Turks win in the books. Yankey has a 1.92 ERA in 4.2 innings of work this season.

The Turks offense continues to be powered by UTSA sophomore Bryan Arias. Tonight Arias went 2-4, scoring one run, with two RBIs.  George Mason first baseman Greg Popatak also went 2-4, scoring one run, and 1 RBI while DH Trevor Denton went 3-4 scoring one run. Arias and Papatak both homered in the third inning.

 

 

 

 
The Cannons mustered scoring one run with five hits, two walks and had eight strike outs and 5 errors.

The Turks improve to 2-2 in the Southern Division while the Cannons fall to 1-4 in the Northern Division.
