Next up for the Turks is 6’2” senior Mason Studstill. In the 2016 Major League Baseball Draft RHP Mason was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 22nd round (662nd overall). Before playing at FL Gulf Coast Mason played at Miami and made an appearance there, he struck out a pair in an inning of work vs Rutgers. Then Mason went to Eastern FL State College and tossed 57.1 innings, posting a 5.81 ERA while striking out 63 of the opposing batters. During the 2017 Summer season Mason tossed 38 innings for the Turks and collected 35 strikeouts while posting a 2.37 ERA. To end the summer his record was 4-0. We are excited for Mason to return to Harrisonburg and join our pitching staff this summer!
