8/1/2002 Bob Wease was named the 2002 Valley Baseball League Coach of the Year by the media that covered the season. In his first year as Head Coach, Wease led the TURKS to a 25-15 record, only one game behind the Southern Division Champions, Covington Lumberjacks. Wease gave his outstanding pitching staff credit for carrying
