Robinson Smoking Hot for Idaho Falls

7/11/2007 – All Things Valley League

Written By John Leonard All Things Valley League Clint Robinson (Harrisonburg 05-06) is off to a ripping good start with the Idaho Falls Chukars, the Kansas City Royals’ Pioneer League affiliate. Robinson’s hitting line is at 410/425/641 after 78 at-bats, with 6 doubles, 4 home runs, and 23 RBI. He is proving very quickly that he can handle this level of competition. Clint had his best game of the year so far on July 8, when he hit two home runs and drove in 7 runs in the Chukars’ 17-9 victory over Ogden. He hit a 2-run homer in the 5th, and a grand slam in the 9th. Robinson, the Royals’ 25th round draft pick this June, was also named the Pioneer League Player of the Week for July 2-8 after he went 11-22, with 5 doubles, 3 home runs and 13 RBI. Nice start, Clint!
