Our introductions of the 2016 Harrisonburg Turks continues today. Former Oklahoma State Cowboy, and current Cowley County Tiger, Caleb Eldridge will be joining the Turks this summer as a left-hander slugger who packs a punch. With Cowley this season, Eldridge is batting .361 with 48 hits, 50 RBI’s, and 12 home runs. He has had 12 multi-hit games, including an epic win against Rose State College (Midwest City, Oklahoma) in which he collected 5 hits, blasted three home runs and drove in a ridiculous 13 runs!
As a 6’4″, 235 pound freshman from Edmond, Oklahoma, Eldridge clearly adds power potential to the Turks. Originally playing less than an hour away from home at Oklahoma State, he transferred in April 2015 to Cowley, located in Arkansas City, Kansas. Caleb will likely play at 1st base and designated hitter. Former Turk 1st basemen cut from the same mold include: Mo Vaughn, David “Moose” Dennis and current Nationals 1st Baseman Clint Robinson. Eldridge has logged a phenomenal freshman season to date and looks primed for a productive summer.
